Sea Ranch Lakes is its own incorporated village — roughly 220 homes behind a manned gate on the west side of A1A, just north of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It has its own police force on duty around the clock, its own government, and a scale small enough that residents know each other by name.

That club, and the gate, are what buyers are actually paying for — the homes themselves are mostly one-story 1950s and 60s ranches on lakefront or interior lots, many now heavily renovated or rebuilt.

Understand the ownership structure before you write an offer. Beach club membership and the village's governing documents come with obligations and approval steps that differ from a standard HOA, and the resale process includes a village screening. Ask for the current documents early rather than at contract.

There is no boat dockage in the village — the lakes are ornamental, not navigable to the Intracoastal. Buyers who need a slip typically pair a Sea Ranch Lakes home with a marina slip nearby, or look at Coral Ridge and the Pompano isles instead.
