A handful of these estates trade each year, most between $8M and $30M+. The condo buildings along the strip offer direct oceanfront at a fraction of the price and are often the smarter entry point.

Before you fall for a Hillsboro Beach condo, read the building rather than the unit: reserve funding, the last special assessment, milestone inspection status, insurance renewal history, and what the monthly fee actually includes — in many South Florida buildings it already covers the master insurance policy, which changes your true cost of ownership. Ocean-to-Intracoastal properties are the rarest configuration in South Florida: private beach on one side, deep-water dockage on the other, with the Hillsboro Inlet at the north end.
