Hillsboro Beach — the "Millionaire's Mile" — is a narrow three-mile barrier strip where estates sit between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
At $5 Million and up in Hillsboro Beach, you are generally choosing between location and condition: an older home in the best position, or a newer home a street or two back. Ocean-to-Intracoastal properties are the rarest configuration in South Florida: private beach on one side, deep-water dockage on the other, with the Hillsboro Inlet at the north end.
Remember that the purchase price is only part of the number.
