Fort Lauderdale Waterfront Homes with Boat Dock

Fort Lauderdale waterfront homes where the listing names a real boat dock, slip or lift — with the dock length, canal width and bridge-clearance details that decide whether your boat actually fits.

Fort Lauderdale is the center of the South Florida yachting world — more than 165 miles of navigable canals, a downtown that has filled with new towers, and beach neighborhoods that still feel residential.

Ocean access is not one thing here. Homes east of the Intracoastal on Las Olas Isles, Seven Isles, Idlewyld and Harbor Beach reach Port Everglades with no fixed bridges, which is what a 70-foot-plus yacht requires. West of the Intracoastal and along the New River you trade bridge clearance for lot size and value, and the difference between the two can be several million dollars on otherwise similar houses.

A dock on paper is not a dock your boat can use. Before you plan around a specific vessel, measure the usable dock length after side setbacks, confirm the water depth at low tide along the whole run to the inlet, and check every bridge between the home and the ocean. On Las Olas Isles, Seven Isles, Idlewyld and Harbor Beach there are no fixed bridges to Port Everglades; west of the Intracoastal and along the New River, clearance and canal width become the deciding factors.

Use the Dock & Draft Match tool on this site to check any of these homes against your boat's length, draft and air draft — it flags tight canals, shallow stretches and bridge limits before you ever book a showing. Boat-size estimates are preliminary until verified at the dock.
